Simplicity 1798 Ladies Nightgown Negligee Lingerie Vintage Sewing Pattern 1940s

The nightgown bodice is softly shirred and joins the gathered skirt with an inset belt which extends to form tie ends. Wide shoulder straps, bodice and belt are trimmed with embroidery. The negligee is made with drawstring casings to control fullness at neckline and wrists. Ribbon may be inserted through side seam openings to tie at the waistline front. Embroidery achieves a shoulder yoke effect.
